Ejis Chile Wisdom popularly and professionally known as Ejischile is a talented and fast rising gospel performer with a unique genre of music.

In this interview with the young gospel artiste, he tells us about his background, passion for gospel music and many more especially his upcoming album “Active God” which is scheduled to be released on Tuesday 26th January, 2021 on the Market and all Digital media platforms. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Ejis Chile Wisdom, who prefers to be known as Ejischile, I was born in April 1998. I am a youth gospel singer, songwriter and recording artist from Rivers State, the first and only son of two Children of Mrs. Mercy Ejis from Egbeda, a community in Emohua L.G.A of Rivers state Nigeria.

What first got you into music?

I grew up as a child in a Christian home that loves music with passion, with the endowment of musical hobby, I had this mentality that to sing well is to pray well.

Who inspired you into music?

I think it’s Frank Edwards. He’s a legend in the gospel music industry, anytime I listen to his songs I feel inspired and motivated to do music.

How would you describe the type of music you do?

Well, I’m versatile when it comes to creating music, so I can communicate God to the people in all genres of music. Yeah!

What is your creative process like?

I mostly create songs through the help of the Holy Spirit, imagination, conversation and life experience.

Who would you most like to collaborate with if given an opportunity?

Earlier before this time, I’ve always loved to work with Chioma Jesus. She’s one of the female legends I look up to in the industry.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

The massage of salvation. The bible says in the book Matt 6:33; “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and others thing shall be added unto you.” God alone is the focus.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Counselor, I love Counselling people, it gives me joy each time I do that.

Where have you performed?

I’ve performed in numerous Christian organizations: Jesus Real Life Assembly, Omega Fire Ministry, Christ embassy and so on.

What inspired your upcoming Album Active God?

I looked around the world and the activities of men in it, I found out that God is only one available for me in the times of emergency.

Do you have any upcoming shows?

Not really for now.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music industry globally?

Through the help of the Internet, gospel music has been able to spread all around the world touching lives positively and bringing men to the knowledge of God, though it has it negative aspect.

What is your favourite song to perform?

I think it’s Comfort Zone, the number 8 track on my album.

Which famous musician do you admire or take as mentor?

Frank Edwards

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Not at all! except the day someone accidentally got my head broken, it was terrible.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

My boss Nnadi Jude Felix Chetachukwu once told me that quitters never win and winners never quit.

If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?

It will definitely be pride and rivalry. This is commonly found among musicians, I hate it!
