What Alex Iwobi told Ola Aina after helping Fulham defeat Nottingham Forest

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has maintained that he still has a good relationship with compatriot Ola Aina despite Fulham’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage on Saturday, 9JaUpDate247 reports.

Iwobi and Calvin Bassey produced impressive performances on Saturday to help Fulham steal a well-deserved win over Premier League high-flyers Forest.

Emile Smith Rowe scored the opener for Fulham in the 15th minute before Chris Wood scored an equaliser eight minutes before the break.

However, the Tricky Trees were not at their usual best and eventually succumbed to a 62nd minute header from Calvin Bassey, which sealed the win for Fulham. Aina, who started for Nottingham Forest, had a decent showing, but it was not good enough.

Despite winning the game, Iwobi, who has a strong relationship with Aina, took to social media to show affection for his Nigerian brother. He posted a picture of him and Aina with the caption, “Regardless of the score, that’s still bro”.

Ola Aina and Alex Iwobi are two players expected to play integral roles for Nigeria in the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Aina has been solid as a rock, while Iwobi is enjoying one of his most productive campaigns in front of goal. They have been the most consistent Super Eagles stars in Europe, and new coach Eric Chelle will look to utilise them to devastating effect next month.
