The summer transfer window is shut, but clubs can still bring in players that are not registered to any team currently
Forgotten Super Eagles striker Junior Lokosa has found a new club after six months without a club. The former Kano Pillars star has signed for Almeria’s reserve team.
Lokosa will hope to put his career back on track with the latest move following a difficult six months. The Nigerian international has been without a club since he was released by Tanzanian club Simba SC in March.
He joined Simba SC as a free agent after leaving Esperance FC but only stayed at the club for just two months.
But he has now been offered a chance again in Spain, although with Almeria’s reserve team. Lokosa is the latest Nigerian to join the Spanish side after Sadiq Umar, who is the club’s leading marksman.
The 28-year-old is also a Nigerian international with one cap to his name, which came in the friendly game against the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018.
