One cannot totally avoid danger everywhere they go in the world, however, there are some places that are more danger-prone than the others.
These are places where war, crime and domestic violence seem to be the order of the day. This article is a compilation of seven dangerous cities across the world that should be avoided by all means.
1. Aleppo, Syria
The political situation in Syria is the major cause of its unsafe environment. Aleppo has become a home to a host of refugees, however, even these refugees are fleeing over the border into neighbouring Turkey as conditions continue to worsen, yes, it is that bad. The lack of basic needs such as power and water is also another unbearable problem.
2. San Pedro Sula, Honduras
While most of Honduras is beautified with spectacular scenery and tropical tranquillity, there are certain locations that visitors should stay off from. A typical example is San Pedro Sula where crime runs rampant. This city even carries the infamous tag of being the murder capital of the entire world.
3. Caracas, Venezuela
Caracas has been the theatre of unrest and violence ever since the death of President Hugo Chavez in 2013 In this capital city, citizens regularly take to the streets in massive protests that often end in violence and death.
4. Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town is beginning to brim more and more with drug-related crimes which have increased by almost 14 per cent. It is so ugly that the residents have to deal with a flood of home invasions, carjackings, murders and attempted murders.
5. Kabul, Afghanistan
War-torn Afghanistan is another violence theatre in the world. There is even much more concern about what will happen when western military forces finally withdraw from the country in the future. Terrorist-style attacks such as suicide bombings are the order of thee day in Kabul.
6. Acapulco, Mexico
Acapulco – like much of Mexico – has been ravaged by the violent influence of ultra-wealthy and ruthlessly violent drug cartels. The violent confrontation between opposition cartels elicits ghastly aftermath of decapitated bodies and other atrocities.
7. Mogadishu, Somalia
Mogadishu is the second African city on this list and its position is rightly sealed by the fact that the city is known throughout the world as one of the primary operating locations for modern-day pirates. Lawlessness reigns in the city as terrorists, kidnappers and criminals of all kinds run rampant. Authorities have done their best to alleviate this situation, but so far they have not made much progress.
