The Zeus Awards 2016 was scheduled to take place this September in Port Harcourt city, but I don’t think the organizers are set for the event.
In a short interview with the founder of The Zeus Awards Mr Mutiu Oladipo, he spoke on the reason behind the ‘shut down’ of The Zeus Awards project which he created earlier this year.
Mr Oladipo disclosed to us on how he was betrayed by some of the members of the organising team who wanted to turn the project into a political event.
According to him, the Zeus Awards for Excellence was a project designed to acknowledge young people, individuals, organizations whose works and activities in the Entertainment Industry have impacted society positively with special inclination to the youth. It was supposed to bring to limelight the many hidden talents in the City of Port Harcourt.
For now, it seems as if critics of the Zeus Awards 2016 were right about the Event being a ‘Joke’, but when asked what his next moves are, Mr Ladipo hinted on the Rebranding of The Zeus Awards project which according to him will be a ‘Solo’ project.
Work is on progress and the new brand will be announced soon.
