Nigeria, US Working To Stop Internet Fraud – Presidency 1

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the federal government would cooperate with the United States of America to find urgent solutions internet fraud involving Nigerians.

Recall that recently, about 77 Nigerians suspected to be internet fraudsters were blacklisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the US.

However, speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Sunday, Mr Shehu said the government would also issue executive orders and engage the National Assembly to pass new laws that would criminalize the act.

He stated: “This is a double damage on every citizen of Nigeria; it’s a big scar on all of us who go out of this country and are seen in this image that these our brothers have created.”
