Following Nigeria’s border closure many reactions has emerged, some commendations and some criticism. Nigerians has been forced to look inwards instead of depending on imported goods.
Recall the Comptroller-General of Customs Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd). lamented that Nigerians have been eating expired rice Imported from neighboring countries.
To this end, a Nigerian man took to his social media page to lament over the quality of rice in the market. The man identified as Fisayo Soyombo he bought a made in Nigeria rice and it tasted just like sandy soil.

Just because we closed our borders for a few weeks, see the kind nonsense rice we’ve flooded our market with. This one even tastes like sandy soil the moment I turned it into water. Is this honestly the best we can do as a people? Who cursed us with mediocrity so wickedly?
