Manchester United are said to be on the verge of completing a stunning €89million deal for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.
Maguire will sign a contract of €5.5million plus bonuses with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the next 48-72 hours, in what will be a club-record transfer.
This was disclosed by respected transfer expert and sport journalist, Nicolo Schira, who works for Gazzetta dello Sport.
Schira made this known Monday night through his official Twitter page.
He wrote: “Done deal! #ManchesterUnited will close for Harry #Maguire in the next 48-72 hours. He will sign a contract of €5,5M plus bonuses.
“#RedDevils will pay him to Leicester €89M. #transfers #MUFC #mutd.”
DAILY POST had reported that Man United are interested in signing Maguire from Leicester City this summer.
The 27-year-old England international missed training yesterday through illness and fully intends to make the switch before next Thursday’s transfer deadline.
