Fast-rising singer and songwriter, Ayra Starr has opened up about her journey to stardom and her plans to impact lives through music.

In a recent interview with Korty eo, the 18-year-old shared how she was careful of her actions as a teenager to prevent them from destroying her plans in the future. According to Ayra, she already knew she was born to be a star and she became reassured when her Maths Teacher always talked about Don Jazzy signing her into his label record.

“When Mavin first came out, Korede Bello and Dija and all… yeah, I used to like them. I remember my maths teacher just telling me that he wants to take me to a Glo concert and maybe Don Jazzy will see me from there and sign me. He will keep telling me that he can’t wait for Mavin to sign you. This was when I was 12 0r 11”

Speaking on her big breakout, Ayra Starr confessed that she initially didn’t want to put out her original music which caught Don Jazzy’s attention. According to her, when she summoned up the courage to do so, Don Jazzy personally slid into her DM to offer her an opportunity at Mavins Record.

Ayra Starr also talked about her plans to impact the world with her unique songs. She asserts a person is never forgotten after making an impact on people’s lives and she plans to do so through her music.
