Parma youth coach Francesco Turrini is in awe of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, insisting that the Napoli star is a beautiful sight to behold in full flow.
Osimhen waited until the second half of his debut season in the Italian Serie A before reeling out series of excellent performances.
The youngster scored seven goals in his final 11 league matches of the campaign following his club-record transfer to Napoli from French side Lille.
Quite a few people have seen enough of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner to predict he could become a goalscoring machine under the tutelage of former AS Roma gaffer Luciano Spalletti.
Ex-Napoli midfielder Turrini holds the same conviction as he is confident that when Osimhen is in full flight with the ball, no defender can stop him without fouling him.
“In front of the goal, he must certainly work, and Spalletti is working on that,” Turrini told Canale 21, as per IlmioNapoli.
“But when the ball begins to roll, Osimhen is genuinely incredible. He’s not easy to stop; either you foul him, or you leave him be.
“It is wonderful to see him; if the opposing teams raise the pressure, he becomes even more devastating.”
Osimhen can’t wait for the 2021/22 season to kick-off as the former Sporting Charleroi lad has already notched five goals in two preseason-friendly matches.
