Mary Opara has worked in the music industry over three countries, Nigeria, England, and the United States.
She has performed in over 50 venues as lead singer of Comrades Band in Nigeria.
She has worked on over 200 songs in Nigeria, performing as lead vocalist, and as a background vocalist, working with producers-Nkono Teles, Jake Sollo, Soji Benson Productions, Goddy Oku and many others, working in studios across Nigeria.
Few old but popular songs she worked on in Nigeria- Kanyi Gbaa Egwu (All Night Long)-Mannix Okonkwo, Mandy Brown Ojugbana background vocals-Taxi Driver, Breakthrough, Nigeria Go Survive-Veno Marioghae, and many more.
Some work in music, in England, and the US, include radio jingles, singing at weddings, birthday celebrations, wake-keepings, and performed both Nigerian, and American National Anthem for Nigerian Embassy Celebration in the US.
Mary Opara recorded a solo album, in the US, in 2009, that sold several thousands of copies.
