English Premier League side, Aston Villa, are keen on the services of Super Eagles and AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze, despite his injury status, 9JaUpDate247 reports.
The ex-Villareal winger was forced off the pitch in the first half of Milan’s 1-1 draw against Roma on the 29th of December and clutched his thigh. Tammy Abraham immediately replaced him.
As reported by 9JaUpDate247, it was confirmed that the 25-year-old tore a lesion on his left femoral biceps, damaging his hamstring, and has been ruled out for the next five weeks.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, are looking to shore up their attack, as they have to compete on all fronts. Unai Emery is keen on adding some focal power to his front line to have some strength in depth.
With Jaden Philogene leaving Villa Park for Ipswich Town in a £20m deal, the Villains have picked interest in Samuel Chukwueze.

As per Calcio Mercato, Unai Emery’s side have contacted Milan over a possible transfer for the one-time UEFA Europa League winner.
The Nigerian joined the Rossoneri from Villareal for a fee that could rise up to €28m in the summer of 2023, but has struggled to impress for Milan under several coaches. He was largely second fiddle to Cristian Pulisic under Stefano Pioli and Paulo Fonseca, and an injury has kept him from featuring for Sergio Conceicao.
In 55 games for Milan, Chukwueze has scored just six goals and provided four assists. According to reports in Italy, the club hierarchy are willing to let go of the fleet-footed winger alongside Noah Okafor and Luka Jovic, as they plan to bring in an attacker, and have been in talks with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
Should Chukwueze move?
The right winger’s move to Milan has not gone according to plan. He was tipped to be the next big thing at the San Siro, but so far, has only been a bit-part player. Additionally, Pulisic’s brilliant form hasn’t given Chukwueze any breathing space on the right flank.
With an exit looming, it would probably be best if both parties part ways. Chukwueze would get to play under his previous manager, Emery. The pair won the UEFA Europa League together in 2021, defeating Manchester United on penalties.
For Milan, they’d count their losses, and start planning on how to build a proper squad for their new manager when the summer transfer window opens.
