Terry G has been unbanned by the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN.
The Akpako master had his songs banned from being played by all DJs in Nigeria after he insulted and slapped DJ Phriz – a DJ Jimmy Jatt protege – during a comic event at the Shell Hall of Muson centre in Lagos state.
The association demanded he write a public apology to DJ Jimmy Jatt which he concurred to.
In a statement issued by DJAN, it expressed gratitude to all members of the association as well as Terry’s ‘reasonableness’ in doing the right thing.
The statement read:
The National Executives of the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, humbly appreciates the support and cooperation of Nigeria DJs for full participation on the said subject.
We are most grateful for acknowledging the fact that ‘an injury to one is injury to all’, One Beat… One Voice.
Terry G has shown a very reasonable level of remorse and had apologized to all parties concerned including apologizing to the leadership of the Association at all levels.
After due consultations and deliberations, the Deejays Association of Nigeria hereby lifts the ‘EMBARGO’ on all songs of Terry G (including songs he featured in). Thank you.
